Description

Mixing Instructions:

To prepare the milk replacer, add the powder to warm water (approximately 100°F) and blend until fully dispersed. It is recommended that the mixture be fed soon after preparation. Any leftover formula should be stored in the refrigerator and used within 24 hours. Note that mixing directions are based on volume, not weight, and 1 cup weighs approximately 120 grams.

Feeding Directions:

Milk Replacer for Kittens

• Mix 1 part powder with 2 parts warm water.
• Feed 2 to 3 teaspoons per 4 ounces of body weight daily, divided into 4 to 6 feedings.
• Serve in a bowl once the kittens can lap the formula.
• When kittens reach 3 to 4 weeks old, begin to add kitten food to the formula to create a thin gruel.
• Completely wean kittens from the formula by 6 to 8 weeks of age.

Nutritional Supplement for Cats

• Mix the powdered formula into the kitten or cat food.
• Supplement the daily ration with 1 to 2 teaspoons of formula per 5 lbs of body weight.
• It is ideal for lactating queens, convalescing or underweight cats, and as a weaning aid for kittens.
