Puppy Formula

Description

Puppy Formula is a specially formulated milk replacer with medium protein and high fat content. It is recommended for growing puppies, pregnant and lactating bitches, large litters, show dogs, and older or convalescent dogs requiring additional nutrition.

• Crude Protein: Minimum 33.0%
• Crude Fat: Minimum 40.0%
• Crude Fiber: Maximum 0.0%
• Ash: Maximum 9.0%
• Moisture: Maximum 5.0%

Mixing Instructions:

To prepare the milk replacer, add the powder to warm water (approximately 100°F). Blend until the powder is fully dispersed in the water. It is recommended that the mixture be fed soon after preparation. Any leftover formula should be stored in the refrigerator and used within 24 hours. Please note that mixing instructions are based on volume, not weight, and 1 cup weighs approximately 120 grams.

Feeding Directions:

• Milk Replacer for Puppies
• Mix 1 part powder with 2 parts warm water.
• Feed 2 to 3 teaspoons per 4 ounces of body weight daily, divided into 4 to 6 feedings.
• Serve in a bowl once puppies can lap the formula.
• When puppies reach 3 to 4 weeks old, add puppy food to the formula to create a thin gruel.
• Completely wean puppies from the formula by 6 to 8 weeks of age.

Nutritional Supplement for Dogs

• Mix the powdered formula into puppy or dog food.
• Supplement the daily ration with 1 to 2 teaspoons of formula per 5 lbs of body weight.
• Ideal for lactating bitches, convalescing or underweight dogs, and as a weaning aid for puppies.
