Description

Day One 38/47 is a specialized milk replacer formulated for species with medium protein and high-fat requirements that are critical for neonatal growth. It is particularly recommended for moose and other ruminant species with similar nutritional needs.

Mixing Instructions:

Mix 1 part powder with 2 parts warm water (approximately 100°F) to prepare the milk replacer. Blend until the powder is fully dissolved in the water. It is recommended that the mixture be fed soon after preparation. Any leftover formula should be stored in the refrigerator and used within 24 hours. Please note that mixing directions are based on volume, not weight.

Feeding Directions:

Moose

• Fawns up to 1 week of age: Feed 16 oz. of formula daily, divided into 4 to 6 feedings.
• Fawns 1 week to 1 month of age: Feed 24 to 30 oz. of formula daily, divided into 4 feedings.
• Fawns 1 month to 2 months of age: Feed 30 to 35 oz. of formula daily, divided into 2 to 3 feedings.
• Fawns 2 months to weaning: Gradually decrease both the quantity of formula and the number of feedings to 16 oz. of formula once daily until the fawn is fully weaned at 12 to 14 weeks of age. Ensure the fawn has access to a weaning diet and fresh, clean water.
